When all you have is a chair that squeaks in the studio, use it. Composition uses mainly gates, EQ, reverb and tonnes of automation that follow the natural rhythm from the original sample heard at the very beginning

Pru Montin is an Australian composer/sound designer with a gift at sampling. She creates sonic worlds through discovered means, turning found objects (chair squeaks or anything else that makes noise and found lying on the studio floor) into emotional musical journeys. Through her originality she has been listed as one of ASCAP's "Composer?s to Watch" and was a Top 5 finalist for 2017's APRA Professional Development Award. She is the recipient of the prestigious Brian May Scholarship which supports a promising young Australian film composer to complete a Master's of Film Scoring at NYU. Whilst in the US she has been taken under the mentoring wing of Hollywood composer Michael A Levine (Cold Case, Landfill Harmonic) and Cliff Martinez (The Neon Demon, Drive). Her film music has screened internationally (including Cannes, Palm Springs) and can be heard currently on the Australian ABC show, Dream Gardens
