I met Pierre Henry sevceral times. I even went to hear gigs at his home in Paris.
What i learned from him is that you can start from sound and compose from sound
actions. that you can hear the gesture. I tend to use "sequences jeu" in my own
work now. The title "The Prepared Recorder" is an evocation of the fact that
both Pierre Henry and John Cage invented the Prepared Piano at the same time.
The track is 4'33" long. so we have come full circle.
