“Speaking In Tongues” is a religious concept that is related to a deep experience where a person, inspired by God, speaks in an unknown language. In this piece I tried to reflect this. We hear several voices that apparently say things that no one can understand, but at different points of the piece, and especially at the end we hear the sentence: “I believe in God, God loves me”. It is said in Spanish, English and Esperanto . The piece is completely vocal. Some of the voices were made using a text to speech web, while other voices were made by processing my voice through a Yamaha VSS 30 sampler. One of the text to speech voices was drastically stretched using Paul’s Stretch. The picture that accompanies this piece is a public domain image,"The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple" by Rembrandt.
