about

A description of an urban soudscape, took in various days, various time and various context. The idea is the description of an ordinary moment, the rising of life and human daily routines, inside nature noises, especially the one of the wind, rumbling into the microphone, inconsistent but yet alive, becoming even stronger, giving the direction to life.
The track was made using a Tascam digital recorder, mixed onto Logic software, no postprocessing except for filtering and Equalization.

Andrea Bui took a degre in electronic music under supervision of M° Alfonso Belfiore with a work about electroacustic sonorization for “Das Cabinet des dr. Caligari”. Long time before that, accomplished his musical studies with experience in various context and genres and with different teachers. Since early age developed a particolar interest on concrete music and electronic/electroacustic composition. Particular fields of interest are spatialisation and urban field recording, and restoring analogic and obsolete audio/video technologies for performance. Studied electroacustic techniques with Belfiore, Ligabue, Neri (Florence), Vande Gorne (Brussels), Fort (Lyon).
