hello my name is carmelo grasso and i go under the name aniseed for my music project which dabbles in a variety of electronic music genres focusing on the experimental. my take on the kurt schwitters track was to take a recording of his voice performing Ursonate and reverse the vocals. i did this several times pitching each performance at a different note and added distortion and reverb to create sound that almost sound like electric guitar chords, feedback and harmonic resonance. my aim was to pay homage to his piece by build upon its use of gibberish. i was trying to turn the gibberish into a different form of gibberish so it would be gibberish even in relation to itself. thus also keeping in line with the dadaist mentality behind the piece and creating an extra layer of absurdism.
