I don't do a lot of editing in my sound practice. I've done a lot of editing for other people and for soundtracks, but usually I work with mixing and layering. I took about 120 recordings made with magnetic coils (coils ranging in diameter from 1.5 inches to about 30 inches), and sorted them into groups and then cut each together alphabetically (based on the name of the original track). The idea was to make something that has a consistent ambience/feel to it, but that still jumps around. The recordings go back to sometime in 1989.
