Passive Cable Theory - Lurking Audio Movement

from latent audio surfaces by various

/

about

a noise project by Bert Vanden Berghe, and goes from drone and soundcollages to industrial and harsh noise, and everything in between. Passive Cable Theory was born out of the need for a creative outlet for the more extreme and harsh sonic experiments that couldn’t be released as ‘brunk’ or 'INVERTEBRATA'.

This track is based upon an accidental loop that originated when the needle kept skipping on a vynil record (by a dutch blues band btw), somehow it made me think of Captain Beefhart going astray. I combined it with some random layers of cacaphonator improv and some recordings I had laying around unused, waiting patiently for an occasion to be mangled. Latent audio, so to speak.
