about

K-Pop is a pop song with a strong message from the department of electroacoustic propaganda.
We hope any youngster will take good notice of this equality injonction.

Olivar Premier composed this work from 4 different improvisations recorded live on his latest interface : the Giant Travelling Clam. This device is build around a tactile surface beefed up with homemade gesture recognition.
Basically, it allows for exploration of sound samples either capture live or not.
The software that control the sound is conceived so it is irremediably impossible to have total control over the sound events. It is made so that the musician has to be intensely focused on the sound and react to the result that have been made more like herding a flock of sonic sheep.
Once mustered properly, allowing for some unpredictable fuzzy events, the music start to emerge.
those principles are part of a music strategy devised by Olivar Premier called "sound archaeology" where one has to dig into a device to extract and explore sound fragments.
