If you look at the back of a fridge, it looks like the radiator of a car. Inside the fridge is a compressor, which constricts a gaseous refrigerant inside pipes in the walls of the fridge, causing it to raise the coolant’s temperature still further. That causes the coolant gas to pump into those radiator-like fins, which conduct that heat, the coolant’s temperature drops in the process, and it turns to liquid. This then flows into those pipes inside the walls of the fridge, cooling the air inside the fridge in the process. That causes the temperature of the coolant to rise and become a gas. And so the process continues.
