This piece uses part of a found reel to reel tape uploaded on Freesound.org. This was recorded from a laptop onto a cassette tape through the auxiliary input of a tape recorder. This tape was then played back into the laptop input and saved as an Audacity file. Other sounds were created using a contact microphone attached to a beer can with one end removed. The microphone was connected to a small practice amp with some echo effects employed, which was in turn connected directly to a tape recorder’s auxiliary input. These sounds were then also played back into the laptop and saved in Audacity. Audacity was used to repeat, reverse, and change the speed of some sounds, but no other effects were used.
