I worked as a sound editor/mixer in the studios of HBO for many years. Sound design was a new idea in TV then, and my secret weapon was listening at night to the INA/GRM albums – ALL OF THEM. Parmegiani, Lejune, Schwarz, Bayle and of course Pierre Henry. I heard ways of turning real sounds into art and I brought those ideals to my work everyday. It was an easy translation and acceptance by a company that wanted “unique” in their sound. The more I studied this “music concrete” the more I analyzed the techniques until I had my own set of tools, tools that I use to this day. I’m honored to continue working in the pioneering spirit of Pierre Henry
