Ausgesuchtestenohren is the solo project of Austrian composer and sound artist Karl Katschthaler, currently based in Hungary. The musical practice of Ausgesuchtestenohren is closely related to Musique concrète through the extensive use of field recordings and overlaps with musical genres like ambient, noise and drone. Ausgesuchtestenohren is primarily interested in the sound itself and explores it from the inside
