While exploring the tape heritage of a late and less known croatian sound engineer and musician Saniboj Žugić in search of his electronic works, I've been through around 150 reel tapes. During that process I've changed two tape machines - Revox PR99 MKIII and the Revox A77 which belonged to the late Sani. As the A77 model leaves the tape on the head while rewinding and fast forwarding it, I came up with some 30 minutes of recording of the hi-pitched sounds that bursted out of my speakers using this technique. In the stage of editing I repeated a theme for several times, while all other manipulations of tape used in this piece happened live while recording them onto my computer. No fx were used, and the master edit was transferred once again to Revox PR99 and back to my Protools.
