As an inter-disciplinary media artist, Stephen Bradley maps and traces our relationship to place through ecology, sound, and sculptural objects, including recorded narratives juxtaposed with artifacts discarded or lost in the landscape. Bradley is the co-host of the quarterly Bells, Bugs, Whispers & Plinks broadcast from Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7, Radio for Open Ears. In 2021 Bradley was awarded the CIRCA-IMET Artist-in-Residency for the project, Bio-Buggy: Ear to the Harbor. Most recently he and his Bio-Buggy team were awarded a Chesapeake Bay Trust award to launch of the project this coming year in collaboration with Dr. Eric Schott, faculty researcher, Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology and the Friends of Garrett Park, Brooklyn, Maryland.
Bradley is also the current Linehan Artist Scholar director at UMBC and lives in Catonsville, Maryland, USA.
