"I have software that literally records time lapse audio at whatever interval you select. I made several recordings walking around with an Acer netbook at work and at home. One of the chunks that I used was recorded in the studio while I tried patching up a new sound for a video. This was the second piece where you can hear my assistant, George the Ill Tempered Chihuahua. On the found piece there was a snippet of him barking.
Years ago, I carried a small,cassette recorder around with me for years in my day job as a a facility manager. Recorded motors with bad bearings, squeaky belts, groaning duct work, etc. I never knew what to do with these sounds until now".
