This piece was created using the cassette as a medium. I recorded improvised minimal/maximal drone pieces on both sides of a cassette, and, using the switches on my home four-track, cut rapidly between what was playing (forwards) on one side of the cassette, and what was playing (backwards) on the other side of the cassette, using the interplay of forwards and backwards sounds to create fragmenting/reforming narratives. These fragments are also hard-panned, resulting in a disorienting stereophonic experience
