In the early nineties, i started working with old, cheap and abnormal tape recorders. I recorded different kinds of sounds and roughly recorded the original recording, as a barbarian experiment on magnetic tape. When, almost 20 years later, i worked back this piece on a computer, i made minimal changes. The thing was made with a cup of coffee and a spoon, a box filled with sugars, and paper too. Sounded are melted and accelerated in audible circles, because of the voice saying « time ».
The repetitive pattern « time » came to be a dominant pattern in my poetic essays and songs, too. I think this « coffee time » belongs to a kind of production a computer could not allow.

My main work is a kind of poetry which keeps strongs links with other sides of writing : narration, essay, even jokes... Since 20 years, i've been merely involved in a word, french word « series ». In 2008 was published a book, Portrait de la série en jeune mot (Portrait of series as a young word) at Le Chasseur abstrait (publisher) and an issue of the review Les cahiers de la Ral,m was published as a gift for the anniversary of the word, which is now 300 years old.
My work on series has its roots in the discovery of serialism and contemporary music. I started working on tape recorders in 1993, producing « poor songs » and experiments. I still work today with a 4-track magnetophone. Concrete sounds belong to my musical world, not exclusively though.

Born in Pavillons sous Bois, in the suburds of Paris. Studied in University of Paris 8 – Saint-Denis in the early 1990s. Then worked, mainly as a librarian. Now in Cergy, Val s'Oise, a little bit further from Paris.
