This piece uses several types of electric motors played at various temporal speeds. The long, fluid tones heard throughout the duration of the piece are from an orchestra of landscaping equipment that was serenading me outside of my window last summer, played at greatly reduced speed. Other concrete sounds are from field recordings I made of sirens, industrial and construction equipment, automobiles, airplanes, people, and by chance, nature.
